The Chameleon diet consists of various insects and plant-food. A varied diet is important for balanced nutrition. Chameleons are rewarding captives when they are cared for appropriately. Their care can be more demanding then many other reptiles.
these beautiful ninjas — bright green when they’re relaxed — also have other handy tools that make them lethal to their insect prey and protect them from predators. their eyes move independently, keeping them aware of all their surroundings, and their sticky tongues fire at bugs from 0 to 60 mph in a 100th of a second!
